5x205 Wheels

The 5x205- known in the aircooled community as the Wide Five - is the original wheel standard for 1950s and 1960s Volkswagens. It's the five-lug fitment of the first generation: Split Bus T1, T2 up to 1971, Beetle up to 07/1967, Karmann Ghia, Type 3, 181, and the Porsche 356. VW switched to the 4x130 pattern from 1967-68 on the Beetle, making this bolt pattern virtually absent from new wheel production today.

  • Volkswagen Split Bus / T1 — all years
  • Volkswagen T2 Bus — 08/1967 to 07/1970
  • Volkswagen 181 / Thing — all years
  • Porsche 356 Pre-A, A & B — excluding 356C

Compatibility refers to the original factory bolt pattern. Modified vehicles, brake conversions or wheel adapters may use a different PCD.
